Notice period planning
Employment consultations in Germany that start with the calendar
Before drafting language, we ask which date must hold — and what evidence will prove the letter arrived in time.
What “planning” means here
Notice period planning is the work of turning legal and contractual rules into a sequence of days: when to draft, when to deliver, when the employment relationship ends, and which parallel tracks (holiday, equipment return, references) must not delay the Kündigung itself.
In Germany that sequence often hinges on month-end cutoffs, probation status, and whether a collective agreement lengthens the path. Our consultations stay on that operational layer.
Who this page is for
- Employees weighing a resignation against a new start date
- Managers preparing to issue notice with HR support
- HR generalists who want a repeatable calendar method
How we work the topic
We begin with documents you already have. We do not invent clauses. If a Tarifvertrag is referenced but unavailable, that gap becomes an explicit blocker on the plan rather than a silent assumption.
